New I/OWA Conference Brings Entreprenuers and Innovators Together - September 27, 2013

The Start-up Launchpad is proud to be a sponsor of the new I/OWA Conference. The first annual I/OWA Conference will replace the now defunct Thinc Iowa and Big Des Moines. The I/OWA Conference is a gathering of technologists, innovators and thought leaders to celebrate entrepreneurship in Iowa. Blending co-working, pitching, workshops and a line-up of nationally-acclaimed speakers, the two-day program will simulate an illustrious cross-section of the major elements that sustain a successful startup community. Attendees will experience entrepreneurship as participants (co-working), observers (pitches and presentations), and collaborators (networking, connecting, empowering).

The conference will take place Oct. 10 - 11 at The Kirkwood, 400 Walnut Street Des Moines. So far, three speakers have been announced including, Mike Knoop of Zapier in Mountain View, Calif., Karin Brandt of coUrbanize in Boston and CEO Mike Isenberg of Montreal's 5by.
