The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has just announced the designation of the Davenport Public Library as a Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC).
While there are 81 PTRC libraries in the national network, the
Davenport Library is the first geared toward electronic access and
training and moves away from the old "paper depository" concept.
Iowans can use the library to access information about patents and
trademarks with the assistance of USPTO-trained librarians. Services
offered are free and the library also plans to host public seminars on
intellectual property topics.
The addition of this first electronic access PTRC library in Iowa looks
to be a great resource for entrepreneurs and innovators in Iowa.
